Sundays in My City #44 — Walkway of Lights

In Austin, there is a big display of lights centered in Zilker Park. It is an annual event (if you forget the last two “missing years” due to funding) and is pretty famous. There is another display, however, that has become a family tradition. About an hour west of Austin is a small town called Marble Falls. Every year, we drive out there with carols on the radio and walk along the lake surrounded by lights.

I’ve shared a few of these pics in my Advent Calendar but here are a few more pics from our wonderful night.

After a hard night’s work driving the sleigh and filling stockings (hopefully not this big)…

Santa chills out in his La-Z-Boy next to the fire.

My kids’ favorite part — they think Rudolph water-skiing with Santa is just about the funniest thing in the world…

And my favorite part with my favorite people…

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas — Texas style!

That looks beautiful and fun! Austin is on my list of cities I want to visit one day. So far the only city in Texas I’ve visited is San Antonio. Loved it!

I love lights displays. I feel like we missed out on so much this year because we were all sick. Oh well.
