It’s Okay to Not be Perfect

A few weeks ago, I started a project leading up to my birthday with a certain amount of fanfare. I would be counting down to my 50th birthday with 5o amazing women.

Sounds easy enough.

I know way more than 50 fabulous women. And I have a list of amazing women willing to participate. But you know… life.

I have been slow sending questions or following back up to get answers. Or writing posts.

In the past, I would have been so embarrassed that I might have abandoned the project. But why? I created the project. I established the timeline and therefore, I can adjust it without shame.

So the fabulous women will keep coming. They will just surround my birthday rather than countdown.

And channeling my inner Stuart Smalley, I’m going to believe that’s okay. Because…

I’m good enough. I’m smart enough. And doggone it, people like me.
