Sometimes love. whether it comes for or from something can be frustrating. In fact, correction, that is more often than not the case. This can be true whether it is a passion for a subject studied, a romance blossoming, or even an understanding of something greater than oneself, a newfound, or refound belief in God.
After Death - More than a Movie
That is the focus of the intriguing film, “After Death” in theaters now. It is a documentary wherein actual survivors of near-death experiences share their true stories of what they saw and lived in those moments on the other side.
It’s Not Business, Only Personal
I am loathe to share anything about the show other than it was my FAVORITE current show. I hated it ending.

The film, “Sound of Freedom” opening in theaters today, looks at that very subject. There are people living among us that are not free. Their lives are not their own. their choices are not their own. Their bodies are not their own. And in all too many cases, they are precious children.

In the new film, The Super Mario Bros Movie, we follow Mario and his brother Luigi through an adventure that reflects all three of the generations. Lenny and Lion are tasked with setting up a theatre for the Christmas pageant. As you can imagine, things don’t go smoothly, but the lesson they learn isn’t about how better to manage a project. Instead, they learn that it is never too late for a heart to be changed by the Christmas spirit.
Two-Rivers, Three Pines, a Forest of Mystery
If you are looking for a great who-dunit along the lines of Agatha Christie, the new Amazon Prime series, “Three Pines”, just may fit the bill. Led by the inimitable Alfred Molina in the Hercule Poirot position as Chief Inspector Armand Gamache with a rag-tag team standing in for Miss Lemon and Captain Hastings. Weekly on Friday nights, we will be indulged to a new unlikely murderer hiding in an idyllic Quebec village.
It’s a Strange World
It’s a Strange World. Well, we knew that one. Of course, as an 80’s girl, I can’t help but hear the melancholic refrain of “Mad World” by Tears for Fears. This candy-colored world is a Disney one, however, so there is no long-standing melancholy.
Just fun. Strange fun, as to be expected.
A Journey Home
Sam is a tiny kitten that we follow from a pocket in an overcoat of a woman living on the streets to life on a farm. Throughout we hear from all of the colorful characters along the way, learning each’s perspective of the world that Max was entering.
