This past week, social media, politicians, and pundits delved into an ugly discussion surrounding Imane Khelif’s gender. I warily dive into these waters, but to start, I am not talking politics here, I am talking civility.

Never a Stranger with Alan Hennessy
For me, it comes down to living life, as if we adults lived by what Mr. Rogers taught our children. One thing he said was that the stranger is just a friend you don't know yet. If we abided by all the things that he was teaching our children, the world would be a kind and happy place.

Try a Little Love
It’s the month of love ❤️ 🩷 ❤️ so today give yourself some love. I will do the same. Tomorrow, we can repeat. If we fill our tanks, we are capable of so much more.

Strike a Pose - Boost Your Confidence
We all want to feel a lot of confidence. I refer to it often as #shinebrightly. While that is something that I firmly believe is an inside-out process, I also know that we all feel better with some boosts to the outside, as well. Why else would I share my favorite beauty and fashion finds? There are other ways to give us that feeling, however.

Election Day
So while we should never take our right to express ourselves for granted, we should also never take for granted the importance of a appreciating our other citizens’ right to do the same. Civility and kindness don’t have to be rights to be the right thing to do. We don’t have to agree to agree to be civil.
