Shining the Star-Light #16 -- Austin Veterans Day Discounts

Earlier I posted about Veterans Day Discounts available nationwide. This post will focus on discounts and events local to the Austin/Central Texas area.Cabela's in Buda offers an employee discount on November 11th and 12th to veterans and military with proper ID.

This is Cabela's chance to say "thank you" to all of our Hometown Heroes. To participate in the Hometown Heroes event, veterans, active-duty and reserve military, law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel should present their service ID at check out at their local Cabela's store to receive an employee discount. The Veterans Day Parade in Austin will begin at 9:00 am. Details here.At the Fallen Warrior Memorial in Pflugerville, there is a ceremony honoring Vets at 11:00. Details here.There will be a Veterans Day Concert in Georgetown at 7:00 at the Klett Center.
