Friday Fragments #48

Sleeping-Diva.jpg

I am flustered as well as fragmented this Friday. The month of October has shot off like a rocket and I  am hanging on to the tail. If I had actually seen "Gravity", I might have been able to make a Sandra Bullock reference but alas, I never get to see adult films. Oooh! that sounds bad. Not "Adult Films" but films made for grown-ups.I am typing this half blind. In my state of fluster, I have left my glasses behind. I may be generating more typos than a blind texter or my iPhone auto-correct. Please forgive if this post deserves a great deal of red ink.Now to whatever fragments i can bring back to my wandering mind.My son saw Adam Levine on an ad for "The Voice" and he called him "that Jagger guy". I'm not sure if Mick would be insulted or complimented. I do feel bad that my son's only understanding of the Rolling Stones comes from a song by Maroon Five. I need to remedy that.

My daughter and I went to see the Broadway Across America performance of "Beauty and the Beast". She loved the show but as it started at 8:00, it was a very late evening for her. During the second act, I noticed her head start to bob. She tried so hard to stay awake. This was her after curtain call.Sleeping DivaOut like a light. Despite loud applause and bright lights coming on. She was dead asleep. I tried to carry her out but we were parked too far away. I woke her enough to get her to the car (she looked a little zombie-ish as we walked). When she got in her car seat, she said, "I missed the ending"."Yes, baby. Sorry. I tried to wake you.""Did the Beast become a man?""Yes, baby.""Okay, as long as it ended happy."And she was back out. I found it so cute because she knows this story so well but clearly, she was caught up in the show enough to worry that it might end differently.
