Friday Fragments #36 -- Leaps and Bounds and Polling Booths

Friday Fragments with Star2 Wow! The earth is turning so fast that my head is spinning. How is it March?!?! In the last week, the year leaped a day, my daughter bounded to nine, and I did plenty of leaping and bounding of my own!

To anyone who has followed either my IG feed or this blog, it is no surprise that my daughter turned nine this past week. Between friend parties and family, this little girl has gotten to celebrate for about two weeks -- great work if you can get it!It is hard for me to fathom that my "baby" is nine. I am still processing the feelings of pride, and loss, and love and everything else that comes with our children growing up.

2016, February 29

We got an extra day this year. As Little Diva was born in 2009, we didn't have to worry about her being a Leap Baby. I always thought that kids must hate that birthday but as a woman in her now mid-40s, I think it would be pretty cool to be able to divide my age by 4. I wouldn't have 44 birthdays, I'd have 11. Oh that probably wouldn't be so good for my hubby -- LOL!Either way, I like to think of it as another opportunity in 2016 to better my life. What do you think about Leap Day? Something special or just another day?

Here in Texas, it was Voting Day -- Super Tuesday. Don't worry, I'm not going to go political here. I'll only say this -- VOTE! It matters, especially at the primary stage. I was so excited that there was a line and I was happy to wait.votingVoting is not a trip to the Starbucks. A line is a good thing!

We are leaping around here a lot. Vague booking but we are about to embark on a new and exciting stage in our life. I am "bound" and determined not to you tell you today but soon...
