Today I am Thankful...

Christmas Border

It is two days until Christmas and as I tap-tap-tap away in the quiet, my heart is full. Today, I am so very thankful. Downstairs sleeping are my two healthy children who will wake and immediately start their search for Jeffrey, our Elf on the Shelf. They are home today and they will alternate between playing and fighting as siblings do. I will make cookies and crafts with them and holler to stop fighting. And my husband will both make me smile and exasperate me. All of this is true because I am blessed with enough -- enough wealth to have a full pantry and full stockings. I have enough health to enjoy both. This last year has been one of highs and lows and both have taught me I have enough. And so today I say thanks for my crazy life. It may not look like much to some. To me, however, it is more than enough. What are you thankful for? Do you have enough?

I am sharing my gratitude along with other bloggers shining a spotlight on Heather Von St. James and her heroic fight against mesothelioma. She is so inspiring. She was given 15 months to live but she is her 7 years later! As she says, "with hope, the odds don't matter". Please check out her story. To learn more about the disease and it's risk factors, check out Mesothelioma.com.Heather and her husband, Cameron, are spreading the word about this terrible and little-known disease and reminding us all to have thankful hearts. I am so happy to be a part! A big thank you to both of them for sharing their story and including me in their program.
