Galveston Many of you know that my family and I spent most of 2015 traveling. After wandering for months, however, we have found our toes in the sand of Galveston, Texas. It was an unexpected love affair that has turned into relationship. We are making our home here. So when US Family Guide offered my family the chance to visit Schlitterbahn Galveston, I was thrilled!

I was offered tickets to Schlitterbahn for the purpose of this review. The opinions are mine, however. It is my Universe, after all.

Galveston, TexasWe attended the Spring Break Fest on March 20th. Frankly, we were a little concerned. While it was gorgeously sunny, it was chilly. We had no reason to fear! The park has encased some of its great rides in heated tents. So wonderful! We started on Torrent River -- no lazy river around this place. After a loop around the park, we hopped out for Guada Loopy and Loopy Luge. Both were great fun. I liked that there were two seater tubes available so I could ride with my daughter. My son rode solo. There was screaming and laughing to be had by all.We then ventured up and out. After a quick outside walk, we were again inside the indoor park to conquer Rohr and Fast and the Furious. Wow, just wow. We first rode the very curvy and very dark Fast and the Furious. This ride is completely dark and I had no idea. I think I squealed louder than the kiddos! Now we ventured onto Rohr. This is a huge vertical drop that caught my breath. Both are truly thrilling. And exhausting. Here is the aftermath!Schlitterbahn, GalvestonGalveston, SchlitterbahnThe staff was polite and helpful. There are a lot of tables available inside and out which was great for snack time -- snacks I was allowed to bring from home! And as hubby had a hurt leg, he appreciated the place in the shade to hangout! The kids are already asking when we can return. I'm sure Schlitterbahn will become a staple of our Galveston life!Schlitterbahn, Galveston
