Going Green with Tree Top and Tanaka Farms
I am not particularly green. And by particularly I mean not at all. I have killed all three vegetable gardens I have attempted. My food often does come in boxes. My children think that Goldfish qualify as seafood and non-nugget chicken is a delicacy. That said, I am always trying to do better. I want my family to be healthy. I want the earth to be healthy. I just need a little help.
My inner Crunchy self longs to be set free.
A couple of weeks ago, I had a fabulously crunchy moment. Now if you are wondering how "crunchy" and "fabulous" make the same sentence, let me tell you. It's when Tree Top apple juice takes some of the most dynamic bloggers from #Mom2Summit to visit the very sustainable Tanaka Farms via a party bus. Yep, a party bus! There is no better way to learn about green living than with a mimosa in your hand. Just sayin'...And what a group it was. The list is too long to list, let me just show you. 
So I put on my best farmer face
and got to collecting greens that I would actually eat.
Let me tell you, it is a unique experience to gather the very food you will eat later. So very cool. (And yes, I chose the beef. I'm still a Texas girl. It was amazing, btw!)Tanaka Farms, however, is especially known for their strawberries. I could've eaten the entire crop, I do believe. They were brilliantly good! And then, they went and did this...
Because everything is better with chocolate.I got to meet Mr. Tanaka. He has great pride in the farms that his father began. His love for the land and the crops is clear in everything he does. It was a great pleasure meeting him and I am so thankful for the opportunity.
And all of this happened because of Tree Top. They are committed to eliminating food waste and supporting sustainable farming. Yay! A big thanks to them!
Loving the View from the Tree Top
Tree Top is well known in our home. In fact, I just picked some up at Kroger. It's my daughter's favorite. Hands down. She's actually picky about apple juices. Who am I kidding? She's picky about EVERYTHING. But in this case, it was my favorite, as well. It's what I grew up with and I loved that they used apples grown in the U.S. So I thought I knew how awesome they were.
