Let Your Tacos Sail Away with Old El Paso Taco Boats

Okay, I know you're groaning now, I know. But I love a bad and a good taco, especially soft tacos.

This is a sponsored post. I was provided a sample for the purpose of this review. All opinions are mine. It is my Universe, after all.

This weekend to break the monotony of turkey, we had a taco night. Yes, nothing like a little ground beef, melted cheese, and flour tortillas to spice up, or Tex-ify if you will, an otherwise traditional menu.#oldelpasotacokit, #oldelpaso Now, I am not a cook. Not by nature and frankly, not by desire. But my kids are set on the idea that I should feed them and as I don't want it to always come in a paper bag, with a straw and a plastic toy, I do my best to act like I know what I am doing in the kitchen.

Getting by with a little help from #OldElPaso

This is a lot easier with help. When the Beatles sang about getting by with a little help from their friends, they probably didn't imagine taco kits, but oh, what friends they are. And at the top of my BFF list is Old El Paso Soft Tortilla Taco Boat Kits. All I needed was ground beef, cheese, and veggies. Except in the House of the Picky Children, namely my home, we have a crispy taco only kid. Fortunately, our pantry was already stocked with OEP crispy tacos. True story, actually there.#oldelpasotacokit #oldelpaso Okay, not like that. This was an attempt to take a pretty picture, but it really was in my pantry. What's better looking than that? My hubby deciding to cook dinner for me! That's the best chorus of getting by - a handsome man cooking for me!!!tacos Yep, that's the best way to cook, if you ask me.I did my part, however, contributing with an island favorite. I made margaritas, fixed a salad, and set the table so I think I earned those tacos!#oldelpasotacokit #oldelpaso It was yummy and easy. The two things I look for in meal prep besides someone else taking the reins. And this case, I got all three and a great meal. It's a good one and done. Brown the meat, saute with the seasoning and serve up.  Okay, so it's a one, two, three, and done. It's still awesome for an after-basketball game dinner or any Taco night, Tuesday, Thursday, or the Sunday after Thanksgiving!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, a big thanks to Brand Backer and Old El Paso for this great Taco Night!
