Memorializing a Moment in Canvas

Oregon-pic.jpg

Lately, I am obsessed with time. More to the point, I am obsessed with the lack thereof. I am overwhelmed by the ticking of the clock both in the daily "My To Do list is too long!' way and the "Oh my goodness, my children are growing up too fast" way. And the reality of time is that it can't be stopped. Whether you watch the second hand or barely know what day it is, time marches forward and takes everyone you love with it.It's been two years since we hung up our full-time traveling shoes. While I love our island home and many great things have happened since we parked permanently, the time passed so quickly I am left wondering where it all went. One of my favorite moments of #starfamilytravels was our time on the Oregon shore. I loved the white sand and cool air and I loved how relaxed we all were. This was one of my favorite pictures of that time.[embed]https://www.instagram.com/p/7Qp2PIzMU3/?taken-by=starpics[/embed]When I realize this beautiful moment was three years ago, the clock ticking in my head goes into overdrive. So when Canvas on the Cheap offered me the chance to memorialize a moment in canvas, this one was a must do.

I received a canvas from Canvas on the Cheap for the purpose of this review. The opinions are mine. It is my Universe, after all.

I can't slow down that stupid clock and I can't freeze time but I can metaphorically freeze this moment and hang it on the wall where the clock would be. And that is what Canvas on the Cheap did for me.canvas, theygrowupsofast, kids, love, photo canvasThe canvas came out beautifully. The colors are consistent with the original. The canvas is a high quality and one that looks ready to hold its own against that darn clock. When I am gray (under my Clairol), I will still look at this moment as one of those rare Mommy wins. My son is already a solid foot taller than this picture, My daughter has begun puberty. This is already solidly in the past. With this beautiful canvas, however, it will live in my present. My son will reach for his sister's hand as the wave comes forever, no matter how their older selves may bicker, or move away and come back together - this moment happened and I will now have a lasting remembrance of it.

⏰⏰Thank you Canvas on the Cheap for giving me this weapon in my fight against time.⏰⏰
