RoundUp for Ronald McDonald House

IMG_0181-1.jpg

I am a big believer that little deeds of good can change the world. Whether it's a smile (y'all know how I love a good smile) or collecting cans for a food bank, you never know how those little acts of kindness will change a life.

With #RoundUp, your little change makes a big difference

Throwing your change into the collection for Ronald McDonald House is another example. It's something I have been doing for years, but lately, I have found myself without any coins to give. I so rarely carry cash, and therefore, never have any change. I have been known to scour the console of the car to collect a few left behind pennies just to have something to give.

This is part of a sponsored campaign. I received cash compensation for this post.
All opinions are mine. It is my Universe, after all.

#RoundUp, #McDonalds, #RHMC #ad

It seems I was not alone. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) saw a drop in donations in our increasing cashless society. So they introduced the #RoundUp program. Just as you might have thrown your change into the box after making your purchase, now you can just say two words - round up.

Whether you drive thru,

#Roundup, #RHMC,

walk up to the counter,

#McDonalds

or use the kiosk...

 #McDonalds

you can round up your purchase price to the next dollar and donate.

Easy. Peasy.

Are you going to miss that change? Not likely. That change will be added to thousands of other round ups across the country, actually the world, and your little change makes a big change in the lives of families facing their greatest fears - a sick child.

If you don't already know, the Ronald McDonald House is a refuge. It is a place for families to stay during their treatment at no cost. There is more than the financial relief, however. The houses feel like home. Unlike a cold hotel room or worse, a chair in a hospital room , they are cheery places filled with love. Families sit around the table together and break bread, share shoulders, and give hugs. That human connection is priceless. And all for the cost of a little change.

So this holiday season, and all year round, please remember to round up at McDonald's. And smile. Always remember to smile.

A big thank you to the team at the Metric Avenue McDonald's in Austin for the gracious welcome and for sharing their support for RMHC.
