Taking a Load Off Because...

Mommies Need a Break, Too

The next weeks will offer up the national traditional known as Spring Break. Often associated with wild parties for college kids...

The stress of both makes Spring Break a name kids crave and parents dread, but this Mommy wants a break, too.

I was hosted by the Courtyard Marriot - Seaworld/Westover Hills for this article.
All opinions are mine. It is my Universe, after all.

This year, my family does not have huge Spring Break plans. Living in Texas, we have so many options within driving distance and we plan to take advantage.

A favorite destination of ours is San Antonio - from its amusement parks, amazing Tex-Mex and of course, historical destinations, it literally has something for everyone.

When we do head west to SA, we always stay at the Courtyard Marriott at Westover Hills. To start, it has the nicest staff. I'm not kidding. You know how much a smile makes my day and the abound here from housekeeping to management.

Secondly, they have an amazing pool set up. It's like a resort without a resort fee!

Beautiful, even on a gray day

But for this mom, it's all about the room. I live in a beautiful place, but I'm not doing a staycation because, I'll never relax. I will still do laundry, run the dishwasher, etc. I want to go where I can take a load off not a load out (of the dryer). LOL

The Courtyard Marriott offers affordable suite style rooms that provides mommas and poppas some space from their beloved offspring. There is a desk set-up in case, I do want to work (or just pin a bunch of projects I'll never do while watching Zombie House shows...)

And a lovely couch set up for sipping coffee and planning activities to keep the teens happy.

It also provides additional sleep offerings.

Important details - they serve Starbucks and actually have breakfast and dinner offerings. There is a bar -- yesssss! Who doesn't want a drink after a day with both teen siblings in the same space? They have an office center with printer, a shuttle to Seaworld, and fun family activities like movie nights,

It checks a lot of boxes for this Momma, and I think it will for your family, too.

What is your favorite Spring Break offering (with or without kids)?

Thanks again to our friends at the Seaworld/Westover Hills Courtyard Marriott.
