Project Arcade Fun with ProjeX

Admit it. The kids have been home for a while and running out of things to do. And probably a lot of those two dreaded words, "I'm bored."

Well, we got tired enough of staring at the walls, we started shooting at them.

All opinions are mine. It is my Universe, after all.

The new tabletop game ProjeX offers arcade play without a TV. Yep, I just said it's screen-free. You just need a wall. You probably have at four or more of those! So, not only is this a quarantine-friendly game, it's traveling fun. As far as I know, almost everywhere I know has walls.

Making Arcade Out of Quarantine Lemons

Before our world was limited to 1700 square feet, I was already excited for something to do with my 16 year old son. As both hubby and I were Saturday morning quarter-junkies, old school video game play was appealing to us. Now that we are beginning to feel a bit like Alice after eating the cake...

we are especially appreciative of anything that spirits us away from world boredom. We are shooting away Last Starfighter style - following the lights along the wall (maybe a little like a cat and a laser light, but nonetheless, super fun) with all the bells and whistles, literally, to make your kitchen sound like those long lost Saturday mornings. Pac-Man and Q-bert would feel quite at home.

It's been fun sharing this gaming experience with our boy, As any parent of a teen can attest, too often I see the crown of his head while his head is buried in some screen. Anything that has him eyes up and even smiling, is an incredible win. Add to that this generation has such differing touchstones - almost entirely visual. This provided 360 degree kinetic entertainment that was more unique for him than it was than during our youth.

I am thankful for the opportunity to try out ProjeX for my family. You can find it for your family at Walmart and Target.
